What about those people who put a sign outside their house saying “no turning”? Why are they so precious about the space of pavement in front of their house that they won’t even allow someone to turn? It’s not as if you have to go up their driveway.

My next door enighbour thinks she is the traffic police. She demands that "residents only" park outside our row and any visitors should go further down the road. She took in a parcel for us the other day and when I saw her she would not stop ranting about all the "selfish people".
The next day her daughter and grandchild came round, I bet you can't guess where they parked.

My pet hate.
Every morning 4x4's gridlocking the school road. Always arguments when yummy mummy's inevitably can't reverse and often ends with somebody howling expletives.
The kids land in school with a breakfast of exhaust fumes and profanities ringing in their ears.
A few parents were looking to set up a campaign closing the school road during rush hour but then there was kick back from neighbouring roads who would inherit the over spill.
Next door neighbour but one drops her kids in by car. It's literally a 5 mins walk. In the same breath she has expressed her confusion as to why she isn't losing weight.

There's a house down my road and they have put a sign on their wall saying "no parking disabled access" and of course no cunt takes any notice as its not an official council sign I imagine, and I reckon they must be running out of paper to put on windscreens

I often use the Just Park app. Pay a few quid and park on someone's drive for a few hours. Can be really handy if you find a spot in a road a few moments from a ground.
Went to Bristol last year, my space 30 seconds walk from the ground and some fucker has blocked access to the empty drive that I've booked.
Property owner was good as gold and pointed out a neighbouring house that was up for sale and empty and helped out with a windscreen note explaining all with his phone number on it so all good. Doubt the selfish bastard will be blocking that drive again. Drive owner was sitting on his wall awaiting his return when I went back to my car. Looking vexed.

I live near a school. People use my road as a car park all the time. Often I work from home but have to get to meetings at short notice, any time of day.
My only rule is not to smash car windows with women or kids in the car.

End of my close, space enough for 6 cars to park.
Routinely backwards autistic dyspraxic cretins with the spatial awareness of a fat mess at an all you can eat buffet will render it suitable for just 3 or 4.
I politely point out the errors of their ways and normally they stop parking like cunts for about three days until they just can't help themselves and revert to parking like the lobotomized fuckwits that they are.

The centre of Den Haag has electric bollards strategically placed around it. Absolutely no private vehicles whatsoever.
Taxis have an electronic pass, I assume emergency vehicles have a built-in transponder. Access is a bit like using an Oyster Card on the Tube, I guess, so it can be centrally revoked if abused.
A series of those at each end of problem streets would kill the problem dead.

I have a great solution. Son #2 owns a Clio. He's at university where there is no parking, so Clio is permanently parked (considerately) outside my house, stopping knobs who might otherwise block some of my driveway from parking there.

My mum lives in Billericay on a main road near an industrial estate, the offices there don't have enough parking for their staff so they started parking half on the pavement on the main road causing uproar amongst the residents who are all pensioners plus it's on a main bus route.
Anyway, after 18 months of lobbying the council a nice big juicy yellow line has appeared in the last week or so all is now resolved although fuck knows where the workers are parking now......
